DESCRIPTION:
Cragganmore 43 YO Whiskey 47.4% ABV 0.70l
Cragganmore achieves an extraordinary bottling with this 43-year-old whiskey. On 12th July 1971 a single European oak cask was selected to be filled with the finest Cragganmore whiskey. It is precisely this whiskey that is likely to be the last Cragganmore drop still distilled in coal-fired stills. 43 years passed as the whiskey matured and established dense, rich notes. Only 474 bottles exist of the unique whiskey, which was bottled at natural cask strength.
Tasting Notes
Nose : Amazingly rich aromas of sultanas, orange peel and dates garnished with almonds, fading into a balanced sweetness of toffee, burnt sugar and distant vanilla.
Palate : Dense, dry and intense notes of rich fruit with a surprising elegance of dark chocolate and a natural strength.
Finish : dry, warm and long-lasting
